      Pick up from your hotel at 7 am in Manila/Clark and drive to Bauko in 8 hours or 6 hours from Clark and stay in Mt Data. We will have lunch after 4 hours drive in Baguio at the famous Bencab Museum with great views over the Chinese sea or lunch at Camp John Hay.

      After breakfast We will drive 1.5 hours to visit Sagada's hanging coffins at Echo Valley, Coffee making tour, or explore Sumaguing Cave. Lunch at Gaia, Masferrer or Yoghurt house. After Sagada, we will drive for another 2.5 hours to Hapao viewpoint. If time permits we can even trek the Hapao rice terraces depending if we visit Bontoc's tribal museum with artifacts and unique pictures from the mountain tribe and which tours has been availed of in Sagada. Check-in hotel in Banaue or Robertos Abung inn in Batad.

      If staying in Banaue it's a 45 min drive to the parking area of Batad and than a 15 min walk to Batad viewpoint. If staying overnight in Batad or Banaue you can hike early morning to Batad village or even visit the Tappiyah waterfalls if very fit. After early lunch back to the car for the Bangaan Village, Duclican Rice Terraces and Snake River viewpoints. Batad to Mayoyao is 1 hour drive along a very scenic road with deep cliffs along the side when approaching our destination. Upon arrival in Mayoyao, we proceed to Mayoyao viewpoint if the road is passable. We then leave the mountains behind us and its a 2.5 hours journey to Cauayan where we arrive around 6 pm.

      Fly out of Cauayan. If early and first flight to manila is available you can connect the flight with other destinations after arrival in Manila.     The local regulations insist on the need of a local guide in Banaue and Sagada. Our Banaue Tours include already local guide hire (with basic English language skills) in Banaue and Sagada. Should you wish a German, Dutch , Spanish, Russian or French speaking guide (on top of the local guides) throughout your whole tour, this can be arranged by us upon your request in advance and costs approximately Php 5,000.00 additional per day. Food and accommodation for this guide comes still on top of this. Please indicate this as a request in your Booking Form.

    Most Hotels in North Luzon are lacking quality, service and the (slightly) better beach resorts are overrated so if you are expecting 5 star level of a ccommodation its better to avoid beautiful North. Keep in mind that many smaller places are family run. Some hotels in Vigan and San Juan are exception and offer good value of money. We visited all places and made a selection of our own and our client experiences: logistics, service, food quality, ambiance, value-for-money and location. Room rate is per night twin/double sharing and includes breakfast where indicated. Of course, we can also book your own suggested hotel.
    • Banaue Accommodation choices
      Mount Data Hotel *

      Mount Data Hotel, is located 3,5 hour drive from Baguio and 1,5 hour drive from Sagada and is therefore an ideal stopover for tours in north Luzon. The place is newly-renovated and opened in 2022. They just forgot to replace the curtains. Located in Bauko, Mt. Data, it sits on 7.7 hectare land at 2100 meter above sea level. It features 22 hotel rooms divided into standard and deluxe rooms. They have conference facilities, a restaurant, cafe and bar, picnic grounds, and an eco trail.

      All around it can be chilly, frost in the morning. A cozy fireplace can make you warm.




      Rock Inn and Cafe *

      Rock inn and cafe offers a pleasant stay in Sagada. Especially for groups its the best place around as it has a large sitting area out and inside the building, a big garden, small orange plantation, good restaurant and a place to light a bonfire. Their rooms are spacious.

      They also have a private spacious house available with 3 bed rooms and a living room 200 meters away from their inn.

      Rock inn and cafe is located 4 km outside sagada so hanging around in town in the evening is not an option.

      If you like to be in town for your overnight than Masferre Inn would be the better option.

      Please note that in general the accommodation in Sagada is quite basic.




      The Shire of Sagada

      This place has only 7 well designed rooms and are the best available in Sagada. It's located 1.5 km from the center. As its a very small place it does not have an extensive menu and services are not on the same level as the quality of the room might suggest.
